DISCover Your Strengths
Today I'm going to give you a brief overview of each of the four personality types. Then you can choose which personality type most describes you. Generally a person has one or two dominant personality types and one or two that are of a lower intensity. Remember that no personality type is bad - it's what you do with your personality that is good or bad. Today we'll look at the strengths of each personality type and next time we'll look at the weaknesses or challenges each personality type brings with it. D - Determined Doers "D" personality types are outgoing and task oriented. "D" types are motivated by a challenge and like to win and be in control. Words that describe a Determined Doer are: direct, demanding, determined, active, powerful, dominant, bottom-line, decisive, assertive, optimistic, dedicated, outspoken, bold, brave, risk taker, challenging, winner, competitive, hard working, unwavering, dedicated and opinionated. I - Energetic Influencers "I" personality types are outgoing and people oriented. "I" types are motivated by fun and like recognition and place a high value on relationships. Words that describe an Energetic Influencer are: outgoing, optimistic, spontaneous, energetic, influence, social, fun, smiling, cheerful, happy, trusting, enthusiasm, open, friendly, popular, promoting, reactive, elegant, smooth talker, talkative, animated, sociable, sharp, colorful and hyper. S - Stable Supporters "S" personality types are passive, introverted and people oriented. "S" types are motivated by helping others and like stability. Words that describe a Stable Supporter are: sweet, shy, soft, helpful, supportive, friendly, loyal, loving, caring, kind, mild, peace maker, generous, polite, hospitable, quiet, reserved, dependable, steady, submissive, pleasing, balanced, sensitive, serving, tolerant, merciful and thoughtful. C - Cautious Contemplators "C" personality types are passive, introverted and task oriented. "C" types are motivated by quality and correctness and like instructions. Words that describe a Cautious Contemplator are: conscientious, thinker, passive, goes by the book, correct, submissive, calculating, cautious, quality, introspective, proper, creative, follows plan, systematic, critical, careful, organized, detailed, competent, intense, deep, guarded, reflective, orderly, faithful, conforming and researcher. Each personality has incredible strengths and your unique personality blend gives you inherent strengths that make you the valuable woman that you are. Look over each personality type and choose one or two that you identify with most.
